No Dining Options - but they do have a neon sign that says "Restaurant" on the outside of the building!
Golden Gate.
GG.
That's usually what I say after gambling (winning) here, good game!
Favorite Memory: #Winning
I always used to win on slots here. Not so much the past year or so, but the whole time I've been doing Vegas prior, this was always the spot!
Good husbands share their winnings with their wives.
Favorite Memory: The Night Starts Here
Got $25 in free play during the open bar one night. Try doing THAT twice!
Wonka-Balls.
I like this game. I don't win on it, but I like it!
Yes, it does!
Favorite Memory: Money Moves
Normally I have like $40 for the night, this was an unusual night.
I won like $540 on Dragon Link on an accidental $2 denomination x 5 credits bet ($10).
Here's how it played out...
One of these days I'm going to get that last orb and win the Grand.
Just kidding, we both know that'll never happen!
Bonus time!
Optimism, climbing.
There are 2 schools of thought when we win a "decent" amount in Vegas.
Go home, because it's the best thing that will happen.
Press your luck, because it's all "up" money (Chuck E. Cheese tokens) at that point.
I do the first one, so I can save my money and play again another day.
Your mileage may vary.
Had to make room in my wallet for the $8, $12, $14, $16, or $20 I was about to win.
Pro Tip: never used a Player's Club for slots - I'm pretty sure it caps your wins and limits how much you get based on how much you normally spend/bet.
I like to think there's times I could have won a bunch more, but they change it and don't pay me jack shit because I'm a low-roller.
Gonna play without the Player's Card in 2026 and see if it's any different!
For those who have seen Austin Powers - twins, Basil!
Remember when they had these dancing dealer themed chips, and they got rid of fukin table games completely for some reason?
Glad I took a picture of it!
Favorite Memory: Luckiest Thing that's Ever Happened to Me in Vegas.
Playing slots here one day, my wallet falls out of my pocket. Go to get up, realize my wallet's gone.
It's laying on the ground like 1 foot behind my chair and nobody picked it up.
#Thank God
STILL not a handpay!
But I didn't lose my wallet that one time, so maybe it balances out?
Whole screen of one symbol $36.
Be thankful, nowadays it less than $25.
And they can't figure out why visitation is down!
Favorite Memory: Tighty Whities
One time we saw a dude just standing at his hotel window looking out over Fremont street in his tighty whities.
Maybe he thought the hotel rooms had 2-way mirrors or something.
Don't Look Up! (the movie)
Another $125 in the bank, that's how we do it!
Always good to revisit a winning machine, you never know.
$7.00 - sounds about right!
Favorite Memory: Hidden Gems
Golden Gate is probably the Vegas property I would say has the most Hidden Gems.
Well, this or Main Street Station.
But GG has so much stuff, antique slot machines (pictured), old hotel memorabilia, old phone stuff, guest books, ledgers, etc., a piece of the fountain, a piece of the exterior wall from 1906 - next picture below (it's hidden behind a plaque in the high limit area...), the list goes on.
If you're into old school Vegas, this is definitely the spot.
Pro Tip: enter the High Limit Room, on a wall oriented toward the cashier cage, search for a small door knob about chest high - open to reveal part of the original wall from 1906.
#Gem Unhidden
Did you know slots displayed fruit because you used to win a pack of gum from it?
I like winning money, but that would be pretty cool too I guess!
At Golden Gate, you can even win on these super old games, too!
All the good things, in the bad combination.
Big slot wins required a drink that's regal, and sophisticated.
Whenever I'm winning tens of dollars, or even twenty of dollars - I reach for the cool refreshing taste of Hawaiian Sun Passion Orange (available at an ABC Store on Fremont Street near you).
First phone in Vegas.
Just pick it up and talk to, yourself, I guess.
But if it was the only phone, who else could they even call??
Favorite Memory: The Espresso Martini
Get them before they're gone. You know, like the table games!
I always take a picture of the trucks Derek Stevens gives away at his properties, because I never know (I always know) if I'll win one (I won't).
