It's a pizza party, but you know, for Aliens!
The food is honestly better than I would have expected, plus over by the cash the register they have things you can sprinkle on like Parm, Oregano, Crushed Red Pepper, etc. which is always fun.
Side note: can we stop with the AI stuff, especially for food purposes, literally nobody wants that, thank you.
I like the little diner setup, alot!
Is that soon to be this??
Pro tip: You can get a bag of gold coins (tokens) at the bar (which make a cool keepsake), if you get the Area 15 Experience Pass - like Level 3B, for example.
They call you an "Arcadian" at the Instellar Arc exhibit you can do at Area 15, coincidence? Not even a little bit.
Is THIS the HARDEST Nintendo game of ALL TIME? (Shitty Youtube video title - but yes, yes Battletoads is the hardest NES game of all time. I can never get past the jet ski level personally).
Pro tip: I'd recommend this if you're getting the Experience Pass, but $15 is pretty expensive if it's not part of the pass program. Especially because it's a short (2 minute) activity, and is pretty low on the thrill-meter.
Pro tip: I'd recommend this if you're getting the Experience Pass, I don't mind doing this one without the pass, as it's only $5 and you do receive a commemorative card after.
I told them my least favorite sound was a Fart. Boy was that ironic.
We've done a lot of weird stuff in Area 15 - this is definitely one of them!
There are a lot of surprise elements in these experiences - and the audio is truly amazing. I knew when they had Vic Firth noise cancelling headphones it would be good, but no idea it would be the quality it is.
Something you have to hear for yourself!
Coma, now Placebo.
Complete with real pills!
Feel the warmth, rising, and falling, rising, and falling, rising, and falling.
It's called flight, get it?
It's called immersion therapy.
Buckle up, everybody, it's a wild ride, in more ways than one.
I actually didn't know what this was, I always thought it was a restaurant for some reason, but they sell Halloween costumes and weird clothes, good to know.
Nice mushroom, DJ, urinal, tubas!
Area 15 stock photo since I haven't taken a photo of this up close myself yet apparently.
Great fruit flavored teas, my favorite is the Raspberry flavored Black Tea. They use real fruit, which a lot of places don't, tastes much better in my opinion!
Area 15 promotional photo here, since I haven't taken a ton of pics of my own on this one yet, check out more info & tickets here.
This thing is wicked-fun, and way faster than I expected.
$15 for a pretty short ride, but it's unique enough I do recommend it.
I liked that you have to crank your hand back like revving a motorcycle to go forward.
Pro tip: I tried to smuggle my cell phone on thinking I could get a picture during the ride, zero percent chance on that - so do yourself a favor and enjoy this ride sans phone.
Pro tip: I'd recommend this if you're getting the Experience Pass, but $40 is pretty expensive if it's not part of the pass program. However, you can do 2 shows for the price of 1, so you could take up to 2 hours (1 hour per show), if you wanted.
Welcome to Earth. #independence day
Is this the BEST planet in the UNIVERSE?? (Shitty Youtube video title)
Ok I'm convinced we did go to the moon. But only because the leaving garbage behind thing.
I'm taking a picture of you, taking a picture of me, taking a picture of you. On the moon!
Another portal to another dimension, I told you there'd be a lot of them, right?
Indiana Jones and the Area 15 Skull. Or something like that.
Blacklight Zoltar, the rarest of all Zoltar's, undoubtedly.
What's that word, say it with me: Port......
Cherry ride, bruh.
There she is Georgie, you always call weirdly futuristic-psychedelic grocery store exhibits she, Georgie.
Pegasus, my favorite Disney horse. From my favorite Disney movie: Hercules.
14 footfields long. Sounds like they're compensating for something. Who built this thing, Lord Farquaad?
Cryogenic sleep is the best kind of sleep.
Headset view #1
Headset view #2
Pro tip: if you keep the headset slightly loose fitting (using the dial that will be at the back of your head), the vision will be clearer. I found over-tightening caused it to be blurry, so experiment with the dial accordingly!
Headset view #3
Please keep all body parts inside the ride until it has come to a complete stop.
"OMG did we just walk in circles the whole time?" - yes, that's exactly what we did! It is pretty fun though.
Definitely one of the more completely immersive AR/VR things I've seen.
Pro tip: if you're photo-sensitive at all (to flashing lights, patterns, etc.) this doesn't really have that, but personally I kind of felt the same effect afterward - a little groggy, a little discombobulated, etc. so if those types of things bother you, be sure to take a break if you need to, or ask the "operators" to take your headset off for a minute, etc.
Holy shit this one is incredible. 10/10.
No notes, just book this, and enjoy.
Promo Video - City of Las Vegas
Our hostess had a smiley face tattoo on her middle finger, I asked if there's a story behind it, she said just a great night on Fremont Street - I asked her if it was from the $10 Tattoo Shop, said I always wondered what the quality was there, she said that's the quality you get there. I knew right away this would be a good time!
Pro-tip: the lobby bar has my favorite drinks I've ever had in Las Vegas. Going in I did not expect that, so be sure to check them out and see what you think!
Lady Luck - sweet, with a touch of citrus, perfectly balanced - as all things should be!
The Lion - like Christmas in a cup.
Cash us at the top that Continental Switchboard, how 'bout dat?
Pro tip: They are extremely strict about cell phones past a certain point in the exhibit, so I wouldn't recommend trying to sneak any unless you're a seasoned photo sneaker, like myself.
But seriously though best to just enjoy the experience sans phone for this one.
Here are a couple post experience bar photos.
Yes the doors are glued shut, yes I checked. Like I said, I'm a professional.
If you enjoyed the John Wick Experience - check out the other attractions by the same production company (Egan Productions), movie set quality, immaculate attention to detail, etc. here in Las Vegas:
Blair Witch Escape Room
Escape IT
Fright Dome at Circus Circus
Saw Escape Room
Sushi Roulette Challenge - I like when restaurants have a "Vegas" element like a game or challenge like this.
There aren't many of them, but you can check out this one, Red Bite Green Bite (Netflix Bites at MGM Grand), or the 24k Gold Burger (Sugar Factory at Planet Hollywood) for more examples!
Signature Sauce Set = literally crave-able.
Spend the $2.
What the weird Japanese Game Shows is on these TV's?
Sometimes we eat tiny sushi rolls, sometimes we feast.
Sake it to me baby.
And why yes, that is a Whiskey Liquor Up hoodie, thank you for asking.
Feast.
Omega poke appetizer + Liftoff Vessel.
Don't sleep on those Signature Sauces either!
Say it with me this roll is called the "________ Passage".
Portal, the word is Portal.
Told you there'd be a LOT of them.
Something body parts something until the ride is at a complete stop...
Pro tip: the ride doesn't rotate 360 degrees anymore, but they don't tell you that when you're boarding, so be sure you sit where you can see The Strip, which we did not.
Luckily you can still see The Strip in selfie mode though! They do give you a lanyard to hold your phone that you wear around your neck, that can make selfie mode a bit difficult - so do yourself and favor and sit on the side where you can see The Strip when boarding!
Round 2!
You know it's a good area, because (all 47) air conditioners are on the roof!
JK - that's usually the case but Area 15 is pretty decent area actually.
Look how fast the guitar tower is going up! One day you'll blink and you'll be staying in a hotel room there.
Oh God she's back on her bullshit.
I've been know to be on bullshit of my own as well, from time to time.
It loops 5 times. I counted.
