New York New York.
We've been there before, in real life.
She booked a surprise trip for us like 2 months into dating.
I like the real one and the Vegas one pretty much equally.
To me, NYNY is all about exploration, snacking, and taking in the scenery. The real NY does have way better museums, but check out the "Museums" tab of this website, we have some pretty solid ones here in Vegas too!
You can all that type of stuff, and more, at either location (the real one or in Las Vegas)
Favorite Memory: Old Timey Photos.
You'll be surprised, but they don't do them anymore after Covid.
Glad I took a picture of it.
Favorite Memory: Chin Chin Okinawa Snow
#destination dessert
Pro Tip: The ice in the bottom bowl is to keep your spoons cold, not to eat.
Unless you want to look like an idiot, which I'm exceptional at.
I do appreciate my New York with a side of hotel/casino though.
Sk-le-tuns!
I do think they did a really good job of capturing the essence of sidewalk lifetime from New York.
I'd like to see little go-cart sized mini taxi cabs shuttling people around, but it's pretty good in its current state too.
I like my casino ceilings low, or 60' tall.
Favorite Memory: Whatever the hell these pictures are
Why yes, I do heart NY, actually.
The absolute worst (and most expensive) hot dog I've ever had.
Sweet Jebus do yourself and favor and skip this.
Pretty much every other dining option at NYNY is better, but this dog is just terrible.
When people say they got that "dog" in 'em - I hope to God they don't mean this one.
Welcome to New York.... that's another Jimmy Eat World song, if you're keeping track (Movielike).
Favorite Memory: Too Tired, Couldn't Rally
One night we were out until like 2am (is this the Shake Shack night? I can't remember) - but she was too tired to rally.
And also sick.
Case in point.
But she tried, I give her an A+ for effort.
Believe it or not, Deal or No Deal used to be the hottest game in Vegas.
For me, anyway.
I always like a good Cheeseburger game.
Favorite Memory: Mad Apple
The show really does encapsulate a high-energy night in the Big Apple.
It's a Cirque show - so there's juggling, and dancing, and acrobatics, and music, and trampolines, and the Wheel of Death - and other genuinely impressive feats of human ability.
Plus I loved the live music aspect. Few things get the pulse pounding like live music!
She used to work for Cirque Du Soleil - she knows all the secrets, and man there are some good ones.....
Oh, and the stage is a bar, before it's a stage.
5th generation Wheel of Death anybody?
What did your great-great-grandpa do for work? He did the Wheel of Death.
That's just crazy.
Did I profess my love for astro-turf yet?
Favorite Memory: Houdini's
They used to have this really cool magic shop (now closed) - I bought this gambit there where you tape a piece of fishing line behind your ear attached to a playing card and you can make the card "float" in the air.
Pretty neat trick, although you probably won't see it on Magic's Biggest Secret's Revealed any time soon!
Favorite Memory: 2am Shake Shack
I think we got Shake Shack one night at like 2am.
There was like a 30 minute long line too.
We still had to drive home that night if I'm remembering correctly.
#Vegas is built on late nights though - that's what it's all about!
She wanted to sleep, I wanted to party - that's what it's all about!
Did I take that picture?
Damn, that's a nice picture.
I'm all about that (chasing) Megabucks lifestyle.
It's pronounced: Koi-O-Tea-Ugly.
At least according to some old Vegas TV show we watched one time.
It's cool, of course it's no longer there.
If you're in Las Vegas and there used to be something cool, rest assured it's gone due to (spin the wheel of b.s. - let me guess - "maintenance"?)
I like these brooms.
You know who else sweeps all the time? People in Thailand. Everybody gets up at 6am everyday to sweep. It's a real thing.
Oh, and MGM, please don't remove these brooms, you know, because of maintenance.
She had a "making fun of Lobster restaurants" phase.
It's best to not ask questions.
