Cromwell.
I've never understood how they came up with the name for this hotel.
It used to be Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon. You used to enter through a set of Saloon Doors.
Definitely followed in Cosmopolitan's footsteps (like most of Las Vegas did) - but it's a surprisingly good hotel room, and overall still a fun property.
Soon to be rebranded to Vanderpump?
Hopefully they go way over the top with the maximalist decor when they renovate.
Las Vegas could use some personality again!
Favorite Memory: This Dragon Link.
Between the "almost bonusing" (constantly), and the dude who swooped by while I was playing, that looked 100% identical to the character pictured on the screen - this is a fond game for me.
The guy that walked by must have been trolling, like Matrix level trolling - because he passed like 1 foot to the right of the machine while I was on it, and I looked up, he was an older Asian guy, had the exact same goatee, exact same hair, it was everything.
I always appreciate the circularity of the universe, as Vital Vegas would say.
Serious lack of winning on this machine.
But the one across from it on the same bank of machines, great!
Favorite Memory: Hotel Stay
I was pleasantly surprised with our stay here.
It's like my 3rd favorite hotel product in all of Las Vegas.
Very sexy, very chic, private, cozy, has a good theme, etc. I quite enjoyed it!
The hotel is showing its age a bit, items are worn, chipped, etc., but it's soon to be renovated anyway, so the timing seems about right for that.
They only have hotel rooms on like 4 floors, so it's small enough that it feels like a bit of a hidden gem on the Strip, compared to some of the rooms at the mega-resorts.
I really liked it!
I always appreciate a smaller check-in front desk, as opposed to the 2+ hour waits at the larger Caesars properties on the Strip.
It feels more VIP that way.
I made a comment how probably nobody has ever worked out in here, ever, and later we saw a guy running on the treadmill.
As a husband, see, I can admit when I'm wrong!
In her element.
Tufted Leather Couches, Antique Trunks for Nightstands, Fancy Girl Art, Leather Headboard, Corset Touches in the Makeup Area, Touches of Gothic meets City Chic, etc.
Hey guys can appreciate all that kind of stuff too, can't they?
Phenomenal bathroom.
Have you seen the bathroom at Golden Nugget or El Cortez?
This is the lap of luxury.
Why is there a full-length mirror in the shower?
So you can make sure you're clean, is what she said.
Exactly.
Why is there a velour chair in the corner next to the bed?
So you can have a place to sit and put your shoes on, is what she said.
Exactly.
Night time fancy girl, ready for a night out on the town!
I happen to be a Scorpio, btw.
Favorite Memory: Love Island.
They filmed a season of this terrible reality tv dating show called Love Island here. I think was a Hulu show or something. It was on the rooftop at the pool.
I think it was during the Pandemic, so I thought it was so cool these young lovebirds got to spend that time isolated from the world hanging at the Cromwell rooftop pool, with catered food and fun activities & dates to do while we all lived through the Apocalypse.
Never used a door before. Apparently.
When I was about 6 years old, I was playing Gremlins 2 on the Nintendo (NES) - and I got the final boss of the game, and peed my pants.
So I have fond memories of Gremlins lol. Scary, but fond.
Favorite Memory: Chasing Bingo.
We probably spent like $150 trying to get this stupid game to Bingo.
It never did.
We got the Free Games, but didn't win anything of significance.
Which is pretty typical for Vegas, isn't it?
Pura Vida!
