Resorts World.
It's probably my favorite Vegas property.
It's sleek, it's sexy, it's open, it's airy, it's got a great vibe, 7 amazing pools (you can also buy a day pass if you're not staying at the hotel), great dining selection (plus Famous Foods Street Eats), it's nice, clean, new - everything I would want for a multi-billion dollar property that's directly across the street from Circus Circus.
The juxtaposition is what I love about Vegas.
Or maybe it's the Aussie Boomer slot machine - you know, the one with the Kangaroo that goes booiiioooiiiooong when the wild symbol shows up.
I love to double-rev up on that game at every increment (once on pennies, three times on nickels, twice on dimes, twice on quarters, and twice on dollars) over 10x without bonusing.
Oh to be in for $60 and almost bonus 10 times, but not, and instead be out $60.
My player engagement is through the roof!
Favorite Memory: Hottest Craps Run I've Ever (Personally) Seen
July 3rd, 2025.
Started the day with slots at the Cosmo (12pm-1pm), Chandelier Bar and Video Poker (1pm-2pm)
Walked to Planet Hollywood, did the Miracle Mile Shops (2pm-3pm), played games at PH (3pm-4pm), saw the Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre Show (4pm-5pm)
Walked back to Cosmopolitan, then took an Uber to the Arts District (5pm-6pm), Prowl at the Arts District (6pm-630pm)
Uber to Circa (630pm-645pm), for the next 4 hours - played games at Circa, walked Fremont Street, ate Pizza Rock in the Fremont Casino food court (saw the strangest couple in the world that drew everyone's attention - a super tall skinny trans guy with green hair, goth fishnets, and goth boots, with a short black guy that looked like they were out of a Jamiroquai video, everyone in the entire place watched them the whole time they passed through, lots of laughs, murmurs, and WTF's?)
Uber back to Resorts World (10pm-1015pm)
Crystal Bar had a Lady in Red Drink, games at Resorts World (1015pm-2am), then onto craps - French/Arabian guy rolls for at least 1.5 hours, not a single seven for over an hour.
Earlier in the day we'd eaten at Wicked Spoon Buffet for lunch and I grabbed 3 fortune cookies to put in my pocket for later. One of them read, "When the table moves, you move with it." another was, "Professionalism is knowing how to do it, when to do it, and doing it." and the 3rd was "A gathering of friends brings you lots of luck this evening."
Right before the hot shooter this 6'8" tall black guy colors out - he tips the dealers $14, and a young female Asian dealer named Kim uses the money to bet $2 on each number (with an extra buck on 6 & 8).
By the end of this guys roll, the dealers had secured $1,400 in tips for the dropbox from it, after parlays and pressing the bets.
The dealer Kim called it her "401k".
I was on the make them all to win $1,500 and another guy was on for $750 and another for $3,000 - the shooter hit everything except the 2.
He had 6 3's, 20+ 8's, etc. but never hit the 2.
The shooter literally couldn't miss, every trope that causes them to crap out happened, and he couldn't miss.
Cocktail waitresses came and took orders, came back to bring him and his wife drinks, they came to clear glasses from under the table, someone bought in mid-roll, songs changed, the dice hit the money (and it always goes funny), he threw the dice off the table 5 times (same dice, same dice!!), the whole table noticed a dressed up 65 year old white guy walking by with 2 19 year old "working" girls (a blonde and a brunette) in little black dresses when the dealer called it out.
No matter what the group of players remained perfectly in the pocket - everybody contributed, we all understood the mission (don't interrupt, don't screw him up, just sit back and let the magic come, the guy who tipped came back to watch and see how the dealers were doing, although he left the table with hundreds in chips, he didn't come back in during this roll).
In true Las Vegas fashion - I lost $45 on his roll.
In Vegas, the views are everything.
Quads Flopper.
Almost.
Favorite Memory: Famous Foods Street Eats
One of the most fun ways to dine in Vegas, in my opinion!
Does a really nice job of capturing the street foods stalls of South East Asia.
That's a Tiger Burger, the bun is like that on purpose. Thankfully.
"Art".
The stuff we're all made of.
Favorite Memory: Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den
It's a den of Vice, in the city of Sin.
With Cherry Blossoms (seasonally) - what more could you ask for?
That's why this concept didn't work out.
Favorite Memory: Hotel Stays
Might be my favorite hotel room product in Las Vegas.
I love the bathroom fixtures, toiletries smell amazing (Mojave Ghost), lots of great food options you can have delivered or bring to your room, Strip Views, Pools, etc.
10/10 for me.
We pulled an all-nighter one time at RW - I stayed up until the sun came out the next day.
She slept.
Obviously.
Hey, that's someone's mother. 2.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
It's the same money from that other picture.
Favorite Memory: Elephant Parade
A rotating art exhibit to promote conservation, based out of Chang Mai Thailand - one of my favorite cities in Thailand!
In various pics throughout this website, you'll see different items we've picked up from night markets in Chang Mai.
None of which are haunted.
Except for the weird peg-leg pirate guy, who is most assuredly haunted, but that's for another blog post.
I'm pretty sure Coca Cola is actually the exact opposite of elephant conservation - but the art installation is about getting noticed to raise awareness, so I get it.
Favorite Memory: Viva!
It's great food, with great energy!
A place I'll definitely have to revisit.
Favorite Memory: Disco Bathrooms
Lemon Kit Kat.
Where will the madness end?
Favorite Memory: Crystals Bar
Lady in Red, one of the best N/A drinks I've ever had in Vegas.
And an Old Fashioned - the taste of liquid that comes out of a tire.
Lady M - it's whack.
Save yourself the time.
Too much Whipped Cream.
Too much Matcha Powder.
No flavor.
No texture from the 20 crepes.
If you're going to only sell one thing, at least be good at it, no?
Favorite Memory: 7th Place in Slot Tournament
What an appropriate number placement for Vegas!
Came here on a day off one day to grab some donuts at Randy's, won a few bucks on this machine.
All in all, quite a success.
Favorite Memory: Kraken Unleashed
Used to be my favorite slot in all of Las Vegas, until they got rid of it (noticing a pattern here?)
Regardless, each spin would have a tentacle on the screen that would drop position by 1 spot, if you have 6 on screen at the same time, it would bonus.
I liked this one way better than the similar current versions used by Huff N' Puff, Cash Falls, or the million other games that implement a similar feature to make you spin one more time.
Remember - the slots on the floor are the best current version at taking your money, they don't represent the actual best games.
That's why everything is Huff N' Puff now.
Yeah, but what does that mean though?
Favorite Memory: Periodic Table of Las Vegas
All the ingredients needed for a great time in Vegas!
Favorite Memory: Ma'am, I think you may have dropped your coffee, it might have been on accident...
Personalized gambling in the High Limit Lounge - for when you want to spend your money in peace.
Money Shits.
We reached an "Elite" milestone. (2nd level Player's Card)
Favorite Memory: Spicy Chili Slots
For obvious reasons.
Some art can only be found in secret corners of Resorts World... Hint - in the District, near the exit, over by Mulberry Pizza and that big mini sphere thing.
Speaking of Mulberry Street Pizza...
Favorite Memory: Mulberry Street Pizza
2nd best Pizza in Vegas.
I love adding all the accoutrements, fresh Parm, Oregano, Garlic Salt, Hot Chili Oil - really completes the experience and a super tasty slice regardless on a nice cracker crust.
The alternative is you go to Pin-Up Pizza at Harrah's and it's $15 for a slice of Cheese and they only give you a packet of Crushed Red Peppers to garnish.
Here is a list of the Best Pizza in Las Vegas, btw:
1) Pizza Rock
2) Mulberry Street Pizzeria
3) Emmy's at Swinger's @ Mandalay Bay
4) Pizza Forte at Virgin
5) Rosatti's in Centennial Hills (even though they'll write in their own $27 tip on a $15 pizza and when you call the manager won't refund it, but will give you a gift card to the store instead.... oh and don't worry the menu online is different from the menu hanging up in the restaurant at the counter, which is also different from the printed menu they provide you, that's why it's $20 for 6 wings, not $12 like online, or $14 in print)
6) Everything else - and trust me, I've had just about all of them!
