Arcades - for when you want to feel like a kid again. You'd be surprised, but Vegas has got 'em. And plenty of 'em!
Here's some quick info on various options, in case you'd rather play these kind of games instead of the ones that take all your money (slots).
After all, a healthy balance includes a little bit of both.
Amusement World Haunted Arcade - the Strat.
Enter, if you dare!
2nd floor, wander around long enough, mutter the ancient incantation, and you'll surely find it!
Asylum Bar + Arcade at Area 15.
As if Area 15 doesn't have enough crazy, quirky stuff going on, they have a pretty standard arcade, more aimed at adults and the bar aspect, if you're interested!
In the Game - Fremont Street.
Housed in the first public building to have air conditioning in Las Vegas (home of the former El Portal Theatre) - where the first movie they screened in 1928 was "Ladies of the Mob". Man I love the history of this town!
Fantasy Claw Arcade (Fashion Show Mall) - you can play unique Claw games, like 10 claw at once, or win a TV.
Pro tip: the smallest increment of tokens you can buy is $15, you can't just go in and play a game or two. That's the cost to almost win a tv in a claw game I suppose.
Game Nest (near Chinatown). More Japanese style games oriented. Driving games, rhythm, shooting, classic - get your fix, and get your game on while having some cafe/snacks along the way!
Level Up - MGM Grand.
If you're lucky, there will be a staff member present, and you can actually purchase tickets/experiences!
Fair warning, probably won't be much help if they are there though!
Midway at Circus Circus - the preeminent arcade in Las Vegas.
This one's got it all, and plenty of it!
If you're looking for the ULTIMATE arcade experience in Vegas, this is it.
Possibly the most fun you can have in Vegas at the lowest price.
If you haven't already, please consider donating, or at least patronizing - it's a truly amazing place and gives that old school vintage vibe quite accessibly, and affordably.
The Big Apple Arcade at New York New York Hotel & Casino.
By the way, this one has a roller coaster outside on the exterior of the building.
The Cove at TI.
One of the few spots in town that offer "Duck-Pin Bowling", which is like a fun mini version of bowling where you don't have to lug a 20 pound ball awkwardly down the lane. Much more approachable for the thrill of settin' 'em up and knockin' 'em down.
You kids behave, or you're going to the Dungeon, of fun.
There's some really cool stuff here, a 4D SpongeBob ride definitely tops the list.
