Biff's Pleasure Palace (if you've ever seen the Back to the Future Movies...)
One of my all-time favorite "Vintage Vegas" properties. (This, Circus Circus, El Cortez, etc.)
That's probably why it's in so many movies and music videos, because it's got that old Las Vegas charm.
Old slots, destination-worthy carpet, 70's vibes, a former giant martini glass pool (now turned Steakhouse) - it's old school Vegas, the way it should be!
The perfect Las Vegas photo.
Favorite Memory: Fireworks Fridays.
In the summer.
This carpet, tres magnifique!
At a time when we used to have a hamster (Stella!), this slot was very relevant.
We used to drive from Salt Lake City to Vegas for a holiday weekend - and on more than one occasion we'd get home and the hamster would be missing.
Every time we'd find her under the stove, looking like some kind of wiry-mad scientist-time traveler.
She was always ok - just crazy.
For a while they used to have this 1970's photo op, but it's gone now.
Glad I took a picture of it!
#vintage slots
I don't think I've seen this one anywhere else in Vegas.
The casino don't want you to know when to hold 'em, nor when to fold 'em.
Yes, obviously.
Just look at the picture above this one.
Pretty much every music video ever, has been filmed under those lights.
Favorite Memory: Carousel Bar
This thing is so cool.
I love being able to sit outside on Fremont in the heat and people watch.
One of my all-time favorites.
That used to be a martini glass swimming pool. Very Vegas.
See?
Cherries.
Smoke free section.
The only actually designated areas like this town, that I know of, are here and Park MGM.
It's the opposite of those slot areas at the Airport, where you go into a glass cube and they allow smoking inside there while playing slots, specifically.
Las Vegas is all about that balance!
They're not good, but they're fun!
Something about low ceilings and making magic...
This chandelier vs. the Cosmo, or Park MGM, or Caesars, etc.
I love these types of displays that extend past the slot machines.
Put goofy shit up on the walls, add banners, make it fully immersive.
That's how I want to set my house up!
Favorite Memory: This is Blackjack
One time we were playing craps, and a guy walked up and was about to set his money down to buy in and he asked "is this craps?" - I instinctively turned to him and said "Hey this is Blackjack" - he goes oh, and then turned around and walked off.
I still make that same joke there to this day.
Oh, and the dealer who said to give the dice "a little love blow" before rolling them.
I still make that joke too.
Favorite Memory: DMV Bingo
Oh man, the Bingo here is so much worse than I expected.
It combines all the elements of being at the DMV, with taking a computerized test in High School.
As with all things Vegas, you should definitely try it once so you can say you've experienced it, but man it's whack.
And don't worry, it also costs like $50 (when it should be like $5 for what it is), in case you were worried there was anything good about it.
Of course they sell Bingo Daubers (the stamp things) outside the room, so you can go in and it's all played out on a computer screen, with no paper to stamp...
WTF is this shit?
If you get tired of "almost winning" on the slots, just come up here and you can "almost win" on Bingo too!
Where they make the bullshit.
Welcome to your State Test in High School, or I mean the DMV. No sorry, $50 Bingo.
Either way, no talking.
And no fun.
I actually like Plaza's marketing materials the best out of any property in Vegas.
I think they do the best job of capturing that Vintage Vegas aesthetic.
