Golden Nugget.
GN.
This is probably one of the places in Vegas I think of when I think of "winning big".
Even though I never do for some reason, I feel like it can win.
Jokes on them though, I only ever bet like $5-10 in here each time I visit because I know they don't pay shit.
This is the type of place rich people think poor people think is rich. But it isn't.
Hence finding the Golden Nugget itself at a Trailer Park in Australia.
Summarizes it all quite nicely!
Favorite Memory: Buffalo Chief
She actually won a little bit on this once!
It ain't done yet!
$650 that's not nothin'!
Unrelated, I'm literally watching this movie while I'm adding GN to the website.
My favorite scene in the whole movie is when he makes the balloon animals. Sorry, wrong pocket.
One "Gamble" please.
They found this (50 lb Golden Nugget) using a metal detector outside their trailer in Australia.
Unrelated, the next movie I put on while adding Golden Nugget to this website is Austin Powers Goldmember. But not because of anything thematic, it's just the next movie I had interest in watching on my Brother-in-Law's Movies Anywhere account.
Maybe it's a sign I'll win big at Golden Nugget someday.
Or maybe that's exactly what they want me to think!
Flapjack and a cigarette?
I joke a lot, but I didn't say it's not awesome!

It's spinnin', but it ain't winnin'!
Raise the Roof - playing right into my Millennial-ness.
They know what they're doing.
Favorite Memory: Jankiest Hotel Stay
Golden Nugget has been by far the most expensive, for the worst quality of room, I've ever stayed at in Vegas.
It reminded me of a Ramada Inn, or like a slight upgrade from a Super 8.
Not a $200 a night room, especially in a city where you can stay at Fontainebleau, Circa, Resorts World, or similar for the same price.
Don't let the elevator bank fool you.
This would be a $56 a night room in the Midwest.
When I think $200+ for a hotel - I think of a lot that this hotel lacks: luxurious bathroom, higher end finishes, modern decor, art, elevated toiletries, some level of security or access control to make sure the hotel is for guests only, etc.
Hot take -the Shark Tank Pool was, in my opinion, kind of underwhelming.
Small pool deck, no room to walk between loungers, unimpressive food & beverage offerings, etc.
As with all things Vegas, I always recommend you experience it at least once, but not something as big as they hype it online, for me anyway.
It's really more "fish" than "shark"
Isn't that like the 23rd letter of the alphabet?
I heard unique names was the new trend I guess
Looks like a lot, but isn't.
How do you think the Billionaire that owns the place built it?
If you haven't been to the tour and Zoltar Retail at Characters Unlimited (see the "Boulder City" tab of this website for more) - highly highly recommend it!
