I'm pretty sure they weren't talking about this one. 

Good alternatives would be something like: Taking a nap at the hotel California, or mocking a library at the hotel California, or maybe, Spending your Social Security check at the hotel California.

Those would be a bit more accurate. 

As with all Boyd properties, this one, while full of unique Las Vegas charms, is primarily a locals oriented "grinder" kind of place - not like the app Grinder though - just the type where you'll see as much action on a Tuesday at 11am as you will on a Friday at 7pm. 

Lots of locals, lots of old folks, lots of visitors from the islands (Hawaii), lots of low rolling, tight slots, and overall "peaceful" vibes. It's laid back, that's a California thing isn't it?

If that's your speed, this could be the place for you.

One time we were playing craps, and this big fat Hawaiian guy was asking my name, he completely misheard and every time I'd roll the dice he'd yell "Let's Go Ham-O!

Eventually the whole table was yelling it and clapping every time I rolled.

Which was funny, because that's not anything even close to my name lol.
